In this blogpost we will see that the tragic incident can be explained using the chart for the upcoming New Moon at Sydney where it fell very prominently on the MC.The New Moon is square Saturn/Neptune in Pisces on the Ascendant. This configuration has been triggered by Mars transit on the MC conjunct the New Moon.
The Sagittarius-Pisces mutable square is often interpreted as creating tension between dogmatic, philosophical, or structured beliefs (Sagittarius) and fluid, compassionate, universal spirituality (Pisces), which can manifest as conflicts in ideology, faith practices, or worldviews—including potential religious extremism or zealotry if poorly integrated.
Conjunct a New Moon in Sagittarius (fiery, ideological sign), the stars Acumen and xi Herculis could color the lunation with heightened conflict, ideological "stings," or bold but risky actions, potentially tied to violence or thuggery in public/religious contexts. Scorpion/Hercules stars, here could echo "stinging" attacks or thuggish violence in faith-based contexts.
New Moon square to Saturn-Neptune on Ascendant: Tension between optimistic new beginnings (New Moon) and fearful/dissolving boundaries (Saturn-Neptune). Ascendant placement suggests emerging identity crisis or veiled threat manifesting physically. Saturn-Neptune can indicate hidden enemies, confusion, or sacrifice—here, perhaps ideological delusion fueling attack, with victims (Pisces compassion/faith). Mars transit triggering: Mars (violence, guns) conjunct New Moon/MC activates martial sting stars, igniting sudden aggression.
Overall, the chart paints ideological/religious tension erupting publicly via "stinging" violence—mirroring anti-Semitic terrorism. Sagittarius/Hanukkah link amplifies faith-based targeting; malefic stars suggest enduring pain but potential resilience.
Saturn in Pisces (2025–2028) is a time for dissolving old structures, emotional healing, and grounding spiritual/creative visions with discipline. It brings opportunities to release unnecessary boundaries, face illusions, and find new, compassionate forms of structure in a traditionally formless sign. It may call for boundary reassessment (e.g. even religious ones) : Learning to drop unneeded defenses while recognizing what truly needs reinforcement.
Finally here is the chart for the reported time of the shooting. Notice that the New Moon planets are placed in the angles.
