Moon Wobble: High-Winds Derail Freight Train

Strong winds swept across the Western U.S. last week, knocking out power to hundreds of thousands of customers across the Pacific Northwest, and even toppling a double-stacked freight train in Wyoming. https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/high-winds-derail-massive-freight-train-wyoming

Shown here is the December 4, 2025 Full Moon chart (Sun at ~13° Sagittarius, Moon at ~13° Gemini) for the Wyoming derailment location where it aligns very significantly with the horizon axis.

The Full Moon forms a tight T-square with the lunar nodes (Sun/Moon axis square Nodes), which is the classic definition of a "Moon Wobble" period as described by Carl Payne Tobey. This configuration is associated with heightened instability, leading to increased risks of:crashes and freak accidents (fitting a wind-induced train derailment) bizarre or extreme weather patterns (here, unprecedented high winds) and natural upheavals like tornadoes or violent storms

The effects of a Moon Wobble are said to peak around the triggering lunation and linger for weeks, making mid-December a vulnerable window.

Mercury Transit and Fixed Stars. On December 19, 2025, transiting Mercury was at 10° Sagittarius. The Full Moon chart's Ascendant at ~9° Gemini would place the Descendant at ~9° Sagittarius. A Mercury transit near 10° Sagittarius would thus closely oppose the Full Moon Ascendant (and conjunct the Descendant), activating the chart's horizon axis. This opposition ties directly to Aldebaran (tropical longitude ~10°08' Gemini in 2025) near the Ascendant, and the broader Hyades cluster (spanning ~6°–10° Gemini, with key stars like Prima Hyadum at ~6° Gemini).Traditional interpretations (Ptolemy, Robson, Ebertin) strongly associate the Hyades (and Aldebaran by proximity) with storms, tempests, and high winds — often violent atmospheric disruptions. A Mercury activation here could symbolize "winds of communication" gone awry or literal mercurial (quick-changing) weather extremes triggering a transportation mishap (Mercury rules trains/vehicles). The "freak accident" element fits both the Moon Wobble instability and the sudden, wind-driven toppling without structural failure. While astrology offers symbolic correlations rather than causation, these alignments — the lingering Moon Wobble tension plus Mercury triggering the stormy Hyades/Aldebaran on the event chart's angle — provide a compelling mundane astrology perspective on the timing and nature of this high-wind derailment.
