Lempo
The Sun’s entry into Libra on 23 September 2026 forms a potent Grand Trine with Uranus in early Gemini and Pluto in early Aquarius. In the recent post Rare Earths Rising: The 2026 Libra Ingress and the Global Hunt for Critical Minerals, the emphasis fell on physical treasures drawn from the Earth’s depths — rare earths, critical minerals, and even newly confirmed hydrocarbons — guided by Alicanto, the mythical Chilean bird that rewards integrity and leads the worthy to ore.
Yet the same configuration carries a second, quieter current. Alongside Alicanto, Uranus is joined by two extreme trans-Neptunian objects: Lempo [1] and Sedna [2]. Their presence, amplified by the harmonious trine to Pluto, suggests that something more than mineral wealth is being dredged up from the “bowels of the repressed human unconscious.”
Lempo has long been associated with tantric metaphysics, yin-yang integration, and the communication of complex esoteric truths into everyday life. As Benjamin Adamah notes, it speaks of “serving the greater good, relentless attempts to make complex matters easier to communicate; insight into metaphysics… and the need to integrate metaphysical values and truths into major life processes and social fabric.” Earlier explorations of Lempo (see The Venus-Pluto Opposition) highlighted both its constructive potential and its shadow expressions (as noted in the Prince Andrew post).
Sedna, at 2° Gemini, activates the return of the exiled feminine — the reclamation of oceanic, instinctual feminine wisdom long pushed to the margins. Her myth of betrayal, severance, and eventual sovereignty over the depths mirrors the collective process of retrieving what has been cast out.
Together with Uranus, these two bodies electrify the underworld material that Pluto is regenerating in Aquarius. The trine offers a relatively constructive channel: sudden insights, technological or communicative breakthroughs, and collective nervous-system awakenings that can bring long-buried content into usable form rather than pure crisis.
What, then, might rise?
- The oceanic feminine and primordial ecological intelligence, no longer confined to the margins.
- Tantric and toroidal models of polarity, energy flow, and non-dual awareness moving from esoteric circles into broader cultural conversation.
- Collective shadow material around systemic abandonment, institutional betrayal, and the cost of severing from instinctual and Earth-based knowing.
- A parallel “prospecting” of metaphysical and psychic ores — the hidden structure of consciousness itself — filtered, one hopes, by the same integrity Alicanto demands of the physical prospector.
While the Libra season keeps critical minerals and strategic resources firmly in the global spotlight, Lempo and Sedna remind us that the deeper mines are psychological and metaphysical. The Grand Trine offers constructive potential; the Neptune opposition to the ingress Sun still calls for discernment. The sky, it seems, is mapping not only the next chapter in the world’s strategic resource race, but also the slow return of what the collective unconscious has long kept submerged.
