Saturn’s Reality Check on the Raven’s Lies: 9/11, Corvus & the 25th Anniversary

Twenty-five years on, the 9/11 event chart continues to speak with unsettling clarity. Set for 11 September 2001, 08:46 EDT, New York, the chart shows the Ascendant and Mercury tightly conjunct at 14° Libra — precisely on the stars of Corvus, the Raven.

In classical stellar lore, Corvus is the lying raven of Apollo: the messenger who brought false reports, the bird of deception, scavengers, and half-truths. Mercury (the messenger, media, official statements) rising with Corvus on the Ascendant paints a potent image of information that arrives under a cloud of misdirection or incomplete disclosure. The public face of the event itself carries the signature of the raven.

Right now, transit Saturn is retrograde at 13–14° Aries, sitting directly on the Descendant of that chart — opposite the Ascendant-Mercury-Corvus conjunction. Saturn on the angle of “the other,” of projection, of what is received from outside, is the classic reality-check placement. Retrograde, it turns the scrutiny inward and backward, demanding accountability for what was said, what was withheld, and what still refuses to close. When Saturn opposes a Mercury-Corvus rising, the symbolism is blunt: the weight of time and consequence presses against the original messaging.

Adding intensity, the Uranian points Hades and Kronos are currently together on the Midheaven of the 9/11 chart. In the Hamburg/Uranian system, Hades speaks of decay, secrets that fester, crime, and what has been covered over; Kronos represents high authority, governments, and the official voice. Their conjunction on the MC places “lies or concealment by authorities” in the most public, elevated position of the chart — the career, the reputation, the visible outcome of the event for the collective.

George W. Bush’s own natal chart forms a striking parallel. His Sun at 13–14° Cancer falls in the 12th house of secrets, hidden enemies, and institutions that operate behind the scenes. That Sun squares his Moon at 16° Libra in the 3rd house of information, communication, and the local media narrative. The same Libra degrees that host the 9/11 Mercury-Corvus now receive the pressure of his personal Sun-Moon square, linking the private (12th-house Sun) to the public dissemination of the story (3rd-house Moon).

The precession-corrected solar return for the 9/11 chart, calculated for 11 September 2026 in New York, sharpens these themes further. The Ascendant area is occupied by a tight retrograde cluster: the True Node at 29° Aquarius, followed by asteroids Diana, Astraea, and Damocles in early Pisces. Damocles on the Ascendant places the classic “sword hanging by a single hair” right on the year’s public identity — a sense of unseen or deferred peril, the lingering consequences of power, and stress that only those most closely involved fully register. Astraea and Diana together speak of blocked closure, an inability or refusal to let something go, prolonged witnessing without resolution, and a feeling of being chased or needing to remain elusive in a volatile political climate. These points, all retrograde, emphasize revisiting rather than release.

On the IC of the solar return sits asteroid Sphinx, the cosmic “Huh?” — the persistent unanswered questions of Who, What, Why, and When applied to the very foundations of the matter. Uranus, meanwhile, squares the entire Nodal axis while that axis aligns with the horizon. Sudden, disruptive, or revelatory energy therefore presses on the collective pathway of the event (the Nodes) precisely where it meets the public–private polarity. The South Node itself falls on Leo 30°, the Sabian symbol of “An unsealed letter.” Secrets have a limited shelf life; what was once confidential eventually becomes known by all. Confidence and the testing of trust stand in the foreground.

Taken together, the natal Corvus signature, the current Saturn opposition, the Hades-Kronos Midheaven, Bush’s 12th-house Sun square 3rd-house Moon, and the solar-return emphasis on Damocles, unresolved witnessing, foundational mystery, and unsealed knowledge describe a season of pressure. Saturn’s slow demand for structure and truth confronts the raven’s original messaging, while the solar return suggests that the foundation still holds unanswered riddles and that information once held back is under growing public tension.

Astrology does not dictate outcomes; it describes the weather. And the weather this 25th-anniversary year carries the dry, heavy air of a long-delayed accounting — a reality check opposite the raven, with the letter no longer fully sealed.
