Saudi Arabia at the Breaking Point: Draconic Solar Arcs, Uranus on the IC, and the Unraveling of the Sykes-Picot Order
Recent reports describe Saudi Arabia under mounting pressure. Attacks on the East-West pipeline, pumping stations at Khurais, and related infrastructure have disrupted the kingdom’s ability to act as the reliable shock absorber of the global oil market. Analysts now speak of multi-year reconstruction timelines stretching toward 2033–2036 and potential costs in the hundreds of billions to over two trillion dollars across the wider Gulf energy system. Production has already fallen sharply and GDP has contracted.
Against this backdrop the 23 September 1932 founding chart of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, 12:01 LMT) takes on particular relevance. Both the tropical and draconic versions show a prominent Saturn–Uranus–Pluto T-square. Directed solar arcs of the draconic Sun to those radix points are exact or near-exact across 2025–2030:
- Sun square Uranus (early 2025)
- Sun opposite Pluto (November 2025)
- Sun conjunct Saturn (January 2030)
In classical combination language these contacts describe “exposure to extremely great pressure by others” and a heightened likelihood of structural strain or collapse. Simultaneously, stationing tropical Pluto near 3° Aquarius is triggering the same draconic Uranus–Pluto axis—an Ebertin-style signature long associated with the collapse of an old order. The degree of Pluto’s station is traditionally linked with the Seven of Swords, a card of strategic defeat, theft, or forced withdrawal under pressure.
The precession-corrected sidereal Libra ingress of the Sun (18 October 2026, Riyadh) sharpens the picture still further. Uranus conjunct Admetus sits tightly on the IC and squares the lunar nodal axis, which itself lies on the horizon. Uranus square the Nodes amplifies sudden, disruptive conflict and a visceral discomfort with chaos-bringers. In the present regional context those “chaos-bringers” are readily identifiable with the Houthi and Iranian-proxy forces targeting Saudi energy arteries. The Sabian symbol for the 5–6° Gemini zone occupied by the Uranus–Admetus conjunction is “A workman drilling for oil.” Dane Rudhyar’s commentary on the degree emphasizes extraction, hidden resources, and the shadow of greed. Admetus adds the quality of blockage or enforced limitation—oil infrastructure suddenly constrained at the very foundation of the chart.
Historically the modern Saudi state consolidated in the aftermath of the First World War, inside the regional order that emerged from the Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916 and the Armistice of Mudros in 1918. Although the Arabian Peninsula itself was never a direct Sykes-Picot mandate, the kingdom’s founding occurred within the post-Ottoman settlement that redrew the wider Middle East according to colonial spheres of influence. Charts for those 1916–1918 events, when progressed and directed into the present decade, show outer-planet contacts that many mundane astrologers read as the exposure and dissolution of the Neptunian illusions of that era—artificial borders, mandate-era structures, and Western-dominated regional architecture.
Taken together, the long-term solar arcs to the 1932 T-square, the current Pluto station, and the angular Uranus–Admetus–Nodes configuration of the October 2026 ingress form a coherent symbolic narrative: foundational pressure on the Saudi energy system arriving at a moment when the larger post-Sykes-Picot order itself appears to be under transformative stress. Whether the outcome is managed restructuring, prolonged strain, or something more dramatic remains an open question. The charts, however, leave little doubt that the period from 2025 through the early 2030s is one of decisive testing for the structures erected in 1932.
