Sadomasochism Sadomasochism has long intrigued psychologists, who have proposed a variety of theories to explain why some people are sexually attracted to pain or humiliation. Included among them: a desire for power, stress relief or the rush of endorphin release. A new study explores a different possibility — that some people might develop a preference for sadomasochism after becoming infected with a common parasite called Toxoplasma gondii. We are experiencing deep economic problems and it is the fault of the economics discipline. Their macro theories suck.
