A ferocious wildfire in a Los Angeles suburb, home to many Hollywood celebrities, devoured buildings and sparked panicked evacuations Tuesday, as hurricane-force winds tore through the region. Myths and stories linked to the stars that form the backdrop to elements of the charts can be woven together providing clues to understanding the news.
The Los Angeles fire reportedly started just a day after the First Quarter Moon. A chart for the event has the Moon in Aries among stars about which Diana Rosenberg writes:

As always, it is informative to look at aspects to the angles. Here Saturn [15pi] is placed on the MC conjunct the star Ankaa, alpha Phoenix - the Firebird.
On the IC (homes, buildings etc) [1] of the chart is zeta (ΞΆ) Ursa Major, Mizar, a double star, possibly binary, brilliant white and pale emerald on the Tail of the Great Bear which has been linked to catastrophic fires [2].
Supposedly, Mizar portends a Mars nature. The reputation of Mizar, if it is in maximal position in a mundane map, is that of being connected with fires of a catastrophic extent and mass calamities. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.55.]
The Sun and Moon complete a T-square to the TNPs Hades-Kronos-Cupido.
Together the Hades-Kronos-Cupido. combination refers to “homes (Cupido) of the famous (Kronos) that have been gutted (Hades)”
In passing let us note that California became the 31st state on September 9, 1850 so that its radix Sun is at [16vi] exactly conjunct the IC [16vi] and the star Mizar!
