The Capricorn ingress chart often referred to as the Annual Chart by many astrologers is an important mundane event. So significant is this chart that astrologers attempt to understand events by (a) progression of the angles (b) major transits or eclipses aligned with chart elements.
The current Capricorn ingress drawn for Beijing, China has a Jupiter-Saturn squaring straddling the meridian implying that it is very significant for the place. This the first square after the conjunction of the two giant planets in Dec 2020 in Aquarius.
The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn , is a rare astronomical event where the two planets appear very close in the sky. In astrology, this event is known as the Great Chronocrator or "Time-Lord" and is seen as a powerful marker of societal and personal transformation.

The eclipse is conjunct Achernar, alpha Eridani, the bright star that marks the end of Eridanus, the River flowing into the Universal Sea. Here it combines its influence with Ankaa, the alpha star of Phoenix, the bird which regenerates itself. This is, therefore, an area of endings and new beginnings. It frees humankind from outdated illusions and outmoded conventions of thought.
History is not just remembered in Beijing this week. It is being written – by Xi, Putin and Modi. Together they provide the architecture for a continental partnership in security and economics. For the first time in generations, the world’s fastest-growing region has a chance to set its own agenda rather than accept one written in Washington or Brussels.
