Russian plane crashes in Egypt

A Russian plane carrying over 220 people from Egypt to Russia disappeared from radars, and crashed in central Sinai, according to Russian and Egyptian authorities. Kolavia Flight 7K9268, an Airbus A321, went off radar 23 minutes after taking off from Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, Sergey Izvolskiy told the media citing preliminary data.  The plane was carrying 217 passengers and 7 crewmembers, he added. Seventeen of the passengers were children. The Russian embassy in Egypt initially said all on board were Russian citizens. Later, the Belorussian embassy said one of the passengers was Belorussian. Egyptian authorities said three of the victims were Ukrainian, but Kiev didn’t immediately confirm that. Shaker Aamer Is Released From Guantánamo Prison

WASHINGTON — Shaker Aamer, whose detention at the Guantánamo Bay prison in Cuba attracted the attention of human rights lawyers, political leaders and rock stars, was freed on Friday after more than 13 years in captivity, British officials announced. Mr. Aamer, a Saudi citizen and British resident, was en route to London. Notice that the eclipse axis formed a T-square with Uranus-Pluto, linked to breakthroughs, with the Sun placed in the 12 th house conjunct Uranus. In mundane astrology, the 12 th house rules prisons [1]. 12th House - hospitals, prisons, institutions and any place of confinement or detention. China to end its decades-long one-child policy

All couples will now be allowed to have two children, the state-run news agency said, citing a statement from the Communist Party. The controversial policy was introduced nationally in 1979, to reduce the country's birth rate and slow the population growth rate. However, concerns at China's ageing population led to pressure for change. The one-child policy is estimated to have prevented about 400 million births since it began. Couples who violated the policy faced a variety of punishments, from fines and the loss of employment to forced abortions. Over time, the policy was relaxed in some provinces, as demographers and sociologists raised concerns about rising social costs and falling worker numbers. The Communist Party began formally relaxing national rules two years ago, allowing couples in which at least one of the pair is an only child to have a second child. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34665539 The cardinal ingresses of the Sun have a trad

India man's journey to challenge borders

Theatre actor-director Mohammad Akram Feroze recently set off on foot to travel along India's 10,000km-long border, stopping to perform plays at villages with - and for - their inhabitants. Mr Feroze, who does not believe in borders, carries a world passport - as part of a global movement established under Article 13(2) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which says "everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country". His journey, however, was cut short just a little over a month after he set off - at the India-Pakistan border, local police accused him of "breach of peace" and arrested him. Hurricane Patricia hits Mexico

An "extraordinarily dangerous" category 5 hurricane slammed into southwestern Mexico Friday, bringing lashing winds and rainfall that has the potential to create life-threatening flash floods. Hurricane Patricia made landfall near Cuixmala, west-northwest of Manzanillo, carrying 165 mph winds at 6:15 p.m. local time (7:15 p.m. ET), according to the National Hurricane Center. Palm trees bent and rain whipped in sideways as the storm made its first appearance on land. "The winds are really strong. It's amazing, even the cars are moving," Laura Barajas, a 30-year-old hotel worker from the major cargo port of Manzanillo near where the storm hit, told Reuters. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/weather/extraordinarily-dangerous-category-5-hurricane-patricia-makes-landfall-mexico-n450696 As we have seen in the past few posts, the powerful eclipses of September are now making themselves visible in world events.  Hurricane Patricia  is another of those

France bus crash: Pensioners killed in truck collision

At least 42 people, most of them pensioners on a day trip, have been killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in south-west France. The crash happened on a country road near Puisseguin in the Gironde wine region, east of Bordeaux. Both vehicles then caught fire. France's president said he had been "plunged into sadness by the tragedy". PM Manuel Valls is at the scene. It is the worst French road disaster since 1982, when 52 people died. The bus collided with the timber truck at 07:30 local time (05:30 GMT), at what local residents described as a notoriously dangerous bend in the road. Both vehicles quickly caught fire. The French government said 42 people had died and nine people were injured, four seriously. New Canada PM to withdraw from Syria, Iraq

Mere hours after defeating Stephen Harper, Canadian Prime Minister-designate Justin Trudeau has told US President Obama that he will withdraw Canadian jets from Syria and Iraq. According to Reuters, the pledge was made as President Obama called to congratulate Trudeau on his election win. The Liberal leader ran on a promise to withdraw Canada's CF-18 bombers from the US-led coalition's military campaign against the self-proclaimed Islamic State terrorist group. Earlier this year, Canada's Liberal Party fought against the Conservative government's proposal to extend combat missions from Iraq into Syria. http://sputniknews.com/world/20151021/1028844531/canada-withdraws-syria-jets.html Mundane astrology, the study of heavenly cycles upon groups and nations is the most ancient branch of astrology. Canada election: Liberals sweep to power

Canada's Liberal Party has decisively won a general election, ending nearly a decade of Conservative rule. The centrist Liberals, led by Justin Trudeau, started the campaign in third place but in a stunning turnaround now command a majority. Mr Trudeau, the 43-year-old son of late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, said Canadians had voted for real change. Nudes Are Old News at Playboy

Last month, Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, went to see its founder Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion. In a wood-paneled dining room, with Picasso and de Kooning prints on the walls, Mr. Jones nervously presented a radical suggestion: the magazine, a leader of the revolution that helped take sex in America from furtive to ubiquitous, should stop publishing images of naked women. Mr. Hefner, now 89, but still listed as editor in chief, agreed. As part of a redesign that will be unveiled next March, the print edition of Playboy will still feature women in provocative poses. But they will no longer be fully nude.  Oct. 12 http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/13/business/media/nudes-are-old-news-at-playboy.html?_r=0 Playboy magazine will stop publishing pictures of fully nude women because the ubiquity of internet pornography has made such images “passé”, the company’s chief executive has revealed. So can we  detect this change in the stars? We certainly can. But let us s

Caffeinated Bees: What's the Buzz About?

M44 Beehive Cluster For many people, the best start to the day is a nice, fresh cup of joe. Now, researchers reporting in the Cell Press journal Current Biology on October 15 find that honey bees find caffeinated beverages--er, nectar--irresistible too. In fact, it appears that bees may select caffeinated nectar over an uncaffeinated but otherwise equal-quality alternative. As a result, the researchers say, plants may be lacing their nectar with caffeine as a way to pass off cheaper goods. http://news.discovery.com/animals/insects/caffeinated-bees-whats-all-the-buzz-about-151016.htm Shown here is the chart for the current New Moon of October 12 at Cambridge, Ma from where the Cell Press journal Current Biology is published. Ex-BBC journalist found hanged in Turkish airport

A former BBC journalist found hanged in a toilet cubicle at a Turkish airport had spoken about suffering from post-traumatic stress after being arrested for being an alleged spy in Africa. Jacky Sutton was found dead at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport after missing a connecting flight to Erbil in Iraq from London Heathrow. She then appeared distressed after being told by airline staff that she would have to buy a new ticket and was later found in the toilets by three Russian passengers, according to local media. The 50-year-old held various positions over the years with humanitarian organisations and the United Nations as well as working as a producer for the BBC, often in war-torn countries. She had also spoken in June of her fears that she may be targeted by the Islamic State while working in the Iraqi city of Erbil, reportedly as acting Iraq director for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting . Her death cames just five months after her predecessor at the organisation was

Astrology of the Drone Papers

Washington, D.C. - An anonymous whistleblower within the U.S. intelligence community provided a cache of classified intelligence documents to The Intercept, which revealed the extremely dysfunctional nature of the American drone warfare/targeted assassination program.  The eight-part investigation, which included documents, analysis, slides, and visuals, was released on Thursday as "The Drone Papers," by The Intercept.  The insightful reporting by The Intercept's Jeremy Scahill and fellow investigative journalists analyzed and explored the manner in which drone strikes have been carried out by the U.S. in Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, and Afghanistan; ultimately questioning the legitimacy and legality of these extrajudicial killings. The stunning array of classified information revealed an extreme lack of precision in the drone assassination campaign, with one document reporting that "nearly 90 percent of people killed in airstrikes were not the intended targets&qu
